Whole and ground cumin

Cumin has a pungent odor and strong taste somewhat bitter. It is used in abundance in the Arab and Indian dishes, as well as Mexican food, using it in soups, vegetables, rice, vegetables, stews, beef, marinated and baked. It is an ingredient of curry and couscous. In the kitchen is used whole or powdered cumin, but once ground loses much of its aroma. Cumin is sold in two flavors: natural or roasted. In both cases, packed in glass jars for optimal preservation.
